Masonic Spinner

This Masonic spinner fob dates back to the 1940s. The style of this material is called damascened and is made of iron with a flat black finish and gold inlay. The mounting is adorned with flowers and scroll work and the center disc is decorated with half of the full image on each side. When you spin the disc you can see the whole image (see third image - this is the fob in motion) - that of the Freemason/Shriner's symbol. This symbol is the classic square, compass and letter "G". Masons attribute these symbols to "squaring your actions by the square of virtue," and the compass to "circumscribe your desires and keep your passions within due bounds toward all mankind," and the "G" as a symbol of either God or Geometry.

A great collectible piece that looks as mysterious as it does beautiful.

Pairs perfectly with one of our 14k solid gold chains.
