Good luck
Humans have always wanted a little help from the universe. The scarab that promised renewal. The evil eye that deflected harm. The horseshoe hung above the door. The acorn that promised something greater. The dice that dared fate. The Hoju, the sacred gem that grants wishes.
Not superstition. Hope.
The Hoju is a representation of a sacred gem in Japanese culture. It is sometimes called “the Gem which makes all your dreams come true.” Many believe it can cleanse corruption, bestow blessings, increase deep understanding, and expel evil - I mean, what more could you want?! Its teardrop form most likely comes from a peach, the symbolic fruit of healing and immortality. This iconic shape can be found in art and as an architectural element throughout Japan.
This ring was designed by tattoo artist Kahlil Rintye, an avid student of Japanese lore and culture.

The scarab was one of the most sacred symbols in ancient Egypt. Associated with Khepri, the god of the rising sun, it represented the eternal cycle of transformation, renewal, and new beginnings. Egyptians wore scarab amulets for protection, placed on the body, carved into rings, pressed into wax seals. To carry a scarab was to carry the promise that something new was always possible.
This one is hand carved from a cultured pearl, its form emerging from the natural luminosity of the stone. The pearlescent sheen shifts as it moves, ivory, cream, the faintest iridescence, giving the scarab a warmth that feels entirely alive. Set with 14k gold components. Each one follows the natural structure of the pearl it came from, which means no two are exactly alike.
A symbol of transformation, worn close.
