Memento Mori is the name given to jewelry from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries, created as a reminder of the inevitability of death. The literal translation of this Latin phrase is “remember that you must die.” This type of jewelry was not meant to be morbid or induce fear; rather, it aimed to inspire the viewer to live life fully without delay.
These rings were designed in the Memento Mori style, featuring a central skull and a bone-shaped band. Cast in precious metal with glass enamel and diamond eyes. Each piece becomes one of a kind due to the unpredictable nature of the materials and the selection of eye color.
